The cultural programmes were a treat to all.

The variety of cultural programmes at the Swarajya Maidan arranged by the Exhibition Society are a fine treat to the large number of people thronging the place. Besides several Kuchipudi items and folk dances, the dance programme presented by the students of Sri Venkateswara Arts Academy was well appreciated by the crowd. B.L.N.Jyothi, the main dancer, showed excellent promise performing the Kuchipudi items Bhama Kalapam and Mahishasura Mardini Stotram.
The programme also included Tandava Nrityakari, the traditional invocatory dance praising Lord Ganapathi, the Jatiswaram, Bramhanjali, Jaya Jaya Nataraja and Srinagara Lahari the famous composition of Lingaraj Urs. Ch.Manichandana, Lekhya, Priyanka, S. Manasa, Y. Shirini, P. Lalitha and Lakshmidurga performed with fine synchronisation. Nattuvangam was well handled by Ch.V. Sivaramakrishna and musical support was provided by vocalist V. Prasad and mridangist V. Kutumba Sastri.
After the dances, there was an attractive vocal recital by Chavali Ramakrishna.
He sang Jaya Jaya Swamin in Nata, Sadhinchene Pancharatna Keertana in Arabhi, Manasa Sancharare and Gayati Vanamali of Sadasiva Bramhendra in Sama and Hamsadhvani respectively.
He was supported on the violin by Ch. Srinivasa Rao and Ch. Krishnamohan(mridangam).
This concert was followed by a brief rendering of songs by artiste S.N.N.Prasad .
