Year-long Chandi homam
Sri Bhuvaneswari Avadhutha Vidya Peet, Sri Sri Judge Swamigal Adhistanam, Pudukottai, has decided to perform Navavarna puja and Sri Maha Chandi Homam for a year at the Adhistanam, Pudukottai, from June 1, 2006 to June 1, 2007.
This coincides with the centenary year of Sri Sadasiva Brahmendra Saraswathi Avadhutha Swamigal.
This Mahayagna will be performed in the presence of Sri Omkaranandha Brahmendra Saraswathi Avadhutha Swamigal.
During the period , eminent people in various fields will be honoured.
Committee formed
A committee has been set up under P. R. Ramasubrahmanya Raja, Chairman, Ramco Groups, Rajapalayam and T. Kannan, Managing Director, Thyagaraja Mills, Madurai, to guide the coordinators and ensue mass awareness of the purpose of this yagna.
Devotees and well-wishers are requested to take part and contribute for this good cause.
Devotees can write in a sheet of paper the mantra (Om Hreem Bhuvaneswariyai Namaha) for a minimum of 108 and maximum of 1008 times.
Written prayer
They can also mention their prayers on a sheet of paper with their address and send it to the Adhistanam.
The prayers will be offered to the homa guntam during the yagna period seeking the blessings of Goddess Bhuvaneswari.
Prasadams will be sent to the devotees on payment of a nominal dakshina of Rs. 50 payable in favour of "Sri Swayam Prakasa Avadhutha Sadasiva Trust," Pudukottai.
