Kandar Anubhooti on CD
Arunagirinathar's Kandar Anubhooti has been given multi-media form by J.Ramachandran a digital e-book cum audio, video CD.
Mr. Ramachandran (raamachandranj@yahoo.com, 24869066, 9444835007) is a professor in the Department of Applied Mechanics, IIT, Madras.
The package is completely menu-driven with simple instructions.
The first part talks about the life of saint-poet Arunagirinathar in Tamil and the second part has the narrative in English.
The third part is devoted to the meaning of each poem in Tamil with the fourth part being the English version of the same.
The fifth part deals with those verses, 50 in number that are not traditionally included. For the benefit of readers abroad, transliteration of all stanzas are provided.
The entire work is divided into ACD, VCD and PCD formats. The first, containing all the 100 songs can be used in an audio CD player. T he VCD has animation accompanying the songs.
The PCD is meant for use in a computer for a study of a serious nature.
