Epic stories
Geethanjali has released a DVD of 12 animated short stories from the Mahabharata in the `Once Upon A Time' series. The tales, told in English, revolve round the two heroes Arjuna and Karna. The stories highlight the Pandava prince's valour, his archery skill, the episode in which he is humbled by Siva and so on. Karna's generosity, the tragedy that haunts him, his devotion to the Kaurava chief Duryodana, etc., are narrated in great style. Sri Sripadarajara Aradhana is scheduled to take place on June 9,10 and 11 at Sri Sripadaraja Math (Mulabagilu Math) Mulabagilu. Sri Sripadarajara Poorva Aradhana is scheduled for June 9 and Uttara Aradhana on June 11. V. Lecture series
Narada Gana Sabha is organising a serial lecture on the Ramayanam by Nagai Mukundan at its Mini Hall, T.T.K. Road, from June 9-16, daily, at 6.30 p.m. On June 11 (Sunday), there will be two sessions — at 4 and 6.30 p.m.
Drama fest
Mudhra is conducting a drama festival, `Pancharathnangal,' featuring five outstanding plays by eminent troupes, from June 10-15 at Infosys Hall, Ramakrishna Mission School premises, T. Nagar. The dramas to be featured are Crazy Creations' "Jurassic Baby", Dummies' "Lifeline", "Gnanapeedam" (Mali's Stage), "Narendra" (Prayatna) and "Oru Visaranai" (Pareeksha). Silver Jubilee Show
United Visuals' "Vaasthu Vaasu" is completing 25 shows on June 11. The Silver Jubilee show function is being held at Rani Seethai Hall under the auspices of Priya Cultural Academy and Abbas. Director K. Balachander, the guest of honour, will felicitate the troupe and distribute mementoes to artistes.
Kalyanotsavam

Workshop
Shi-Ba Fine Arts Academy, 59/70, Thirumangalam Road, Villivakkam, will conduct light classical/devotional workshop to begin from June 10. Yoga classes
