With the film Tenth Class getting a clean chit from the authorities, many films seem to be following the same genre. While the same director inspired by the court's ruling has resolved to make Note Book, there are other films, which are getting ready for the release. Mona Chopra's Something Something is hitting the screen on June 30 and surprisingly it's a straight Telugu film. Produced by Kode Srinivas Raja and directed by Srinivas Ch, it's touted to be a romantic entertainer made with debutants.
The film is about two college going friends and their gangs and Mona Chopra plays a rich NRI girl. The lady who has professed to replace Mallika Sherawat in less than six months looks effortlessly seductive. Then there is Neeku Naaku....Something Something, which is produced by Sai Ratnam. Rambha with her previous C grade film Alex as a prelude is holding onto the last straw with other star cast like Abhinayasri and Sarat Chandra. It's supposed to be a story of an older woman involved with a youngster.
Aditya Om of Bhaama Kalaapam fame is coming again with Please, Sorry, Thanks and even before you understand what the title is all about his next No Entry will be ready. Valliddhari Vayasu Padahare has debutants and is directed Bhanu Shankar. Obviously a teen film, it has strong undercurrent of lust.
Preminchaaka is a dubbed film and the promos are so adventurous that you wonder if you are watching an old time Malayalam film . While many films that are under production have more or less the same theme filmmakers claim that it is `message oriented'. Most parents despite having choices cannot prevent their children from watching hours of movie-based programmes on TV. But when it comes to such promos, editorial discretion is needed to prevent such unpalatable viewing.
