Beginning on July 24, the serial pivots on the life of the protagonist, Lakshmi, the trials and tribulations she faces in life and how she overcomes them.
Born in an orthodox family with an elder sister, yet to get married, Lakshmi faces too many challenges once she marries a boy of her choice, who hails from a different social group.
Lakshmi falls in love with Santosh, her colleague and the two decide to get married. But both their families refuse to accept their decision, eventually forcing them to elope from their hometown.
How the two persevere to cope with life at a place totally alien to them forms the rest of the story.
Directed by Sundhar K. Vijayan and produced by Sujatha Vijaykumar, the cast includes Meena, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Devadharshini, Vijay Adhiraj, `Malaysia' Vasudevan and Shylaja.

This game show conceived and presented exclusively for women has been organised at various places in Tamil Nadu.
This time round, it will be conducted for the women in Chennai.
The preliminary round will be held tomorrow at Avichi Higher Seconary School, Virugambakkam, Chennai, while the final round will be on the next day (July 23) at Vijaya Sesha Mahal, Vadapalani, Chennai.
The contestants are expected to display their skills in rangoli, karaoke, jackpot, group discussion, cookery, handicraft and much more. Mega bumper prize and super bumper prizes will be presented to all the contestants.
To enthuse the audience, various competitions will be held on the spot and the winners will be given prizes.
