Her expression of Manodharma replete with flashes of the tenor and tempo, which she imbibed from her reputed gurus like Sangeetha Samrat M.S. Balasubrahmanya Sarma (Ongole) and Suguna Purushottamam (Chennai), attracted appreciative applauses repeatedly.
Vedavathi Ganesh and Mandapaka Nagalakshmi accompanying on violin and mridangam lent excellent support. Vedavathi in her turns, and Lakshmi executing a sublimely structured thani in particular contributed grandeur.
The premises of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba temple in East Point Colony witnessed another scintillating recital, this time by noted vocalist Dr. Dwaram V.K.G. Thyagaraju, last Thursday. He was ably accompanied on violin by KVS Prasad and mridangam by G. Venkatarao.
Vandeham Jagatvallabham of Annamayya (Hamsadhvani) embellished with invigorative aalapana and swaram, exquisite elaboration of Vidamuseyave (Kharaharapriya) and Sivasivasiva yanarada (Pantuvarali) and devout rendering of Ganapathe Mahamathe (Ghurjhari) were the highlights.
