Dude, where's my car?

Dean Devlin the man behind movies like Godzilla and Independence Day is busy solving the crime of the century.

In his latest production, Who Killed the Electric Car? he delves into the mystery of the disappearance of the electric car.

In the 1990s, General Motors developed an electronic car, EV1. Though the cars were popular, production ceased, the cars were repossessed and crushed in the Arizona desert.

Directed by Chris Paine (an EV enthusiast like Devlin, Mel Gibson and Tom Hanks), the film has many theories about why the car was taken off the road; including the simple fact that the EV is too cheap to run and maintain!
