Onam in the air
Onam is in the air and all the channels are coming up with `specials' to keep viewers glued to the small screen during the holidays. Asianet's Onam celebrations begin on August 27.
`Guruvandanam' has Vineeth interviewing danseuse Padma Subramaniam at 8 a.m. on August 27.
`Meera Kahe' a four-episode interview with Sujatha will be aired from August 28 at 10 a.m. A tete-a-tete with Shobana, called `Mudrankitham,' will be telecast at 9 a.m. on August 29 and 30.

Amrita Television has also prepared a bouquet of programmes for the festival season. Watch the latest Malayalam blockbusters and hit Tamil movies such as `Run,' `Khusi' and `Boys,' which have been dubbed into Malayalam. Celebrities speak on what Onam means to them and how they spend it.
Go behind the scenes of V.M. Vinu's `Yes Your Honour.' It is an informal get- together in `Virunnu,' as artist Namboodiri, playback singer Manjari and magician Muthukadu drop by Education Minister M.A. Baby's house. `Samagam-Kalabhavan,' will bring together artistes of Kalabhavan like Jayaram, Dileep and Siddique.
Music lovers can choose from a wide range of programmes. For children, the channel has `Dileep and kids,' and `Treasure hunt-youth and kids.'
`Taste of Kerala' is for those who would like to try their hand at a new dish or two.
