Guru to arrive by December

Mani Ratnam's much talked about film Guru is scheduled to release towards the end of the year, on December 26. Now, we know that Yash Chopra and Karan Johar normally prefer November/December releases. Chopra's production Dhoom 2 will arrive for Diwali post Shah Rukh Khan's Don, but Mani will be signing off this year in style. There's a lot of speculation surrounding Guru where Abhishek gets a chance to show different phases of a business baron's life. Is the character inspired by Dhirubhai Ambani or Goenka? Mani isn't telling.

Make way for Don

Now that Hrithik Roshan has raised the bar for action sequences in Indian cinema and showed that actors don't need to take the help of dupes, other actors are following suit. Of course, Sunny Deol and Akshay Kumar have already been there and done that. The latest addition is Shah Rukh Khan. Shot mostly in Malaysia, Farhan Akhtar's unit heaved a sigh of relief when kind Khan performed some breathtaking action sequences, including jumping from atop multi-storied buildings.

Abhishek in Munnabhai?

While on Abhishek, the buzz is that he is doing a cameo in Lage Raho Munnabhai. It is said that he appears towards the climax as Dia Mirza's husband. But the makers of the film are tight-lipped and prefer not to comment. If Abhishek is indeed in this film, it will be his `n'th cameo after films like Salaam Namaste, Rakht and others.
