Drawing a parallel

What does a director do when he has more than one story to tell? He makes a film with a few stories running parallel to each other. A case in point is Naseeruddin Shah's Yun Hota To Kya Hota. Coming up on similar lines is Nikhil Advani's Salaam-eishq. The film spins together tales of different couples - Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra, Sohail Khan and Perizaad Zorabian, Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla, Vidya Balan and John Abraham and Akshaye Khanna and Ayesha Takia. Phew!

Poster perfect as Samyukta?

After remakes, historicals are again the toast of the film industry. Ashutosh Gowarikar is busy planning Akbar Jodha, and there's Chandraprakash Dwivedi working towards recreating the era of Prithviraj and Samyukta. Celina Jaitley is a forerunner for Samyukta's role and recently did a photo shoot for the part. But until things are finalised, no one is spilling the beans.

`Cash'ing in on `Dus'

Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha is unperturbed by all the flak he got for Dus. The film was only remembered for the Dus Bahane video and Pankaj Kapoor's power house performance. Sinha has since moved on and is working on his new film Cash, which he describes as a comic book adventure thriller. In the planning stages is also a sequel to Dus called Gyarah! Sinha admits sequels are a great business idea.

Bipasha sings for `Dhoom 2'

So what if Corporate and Omkara didn't set the box office on fire? Bipasha sure made her presence felt. Up next, the sultry siren will be seen in Dhoom 2. She has also sung a few lines for the song My Name is Ali. Considering that Uday Chopra was called Ali in Dhoom, it is speculated that the song features Uday and Bipasha.

Kajol-Ajay in `Ramayan'

Rajkumar Santoshi has begun planning on his next big venture. After The Legend of Bhagat Singh, he's gone back to Ajay Devgan. Reportedly, he has roped in Ajay and Kajol for his mythological film, Ramayan. The film will mark the return of the couple together on the big screen after Pyar To Hona Hi Ta and Raju Chacha.
