Recognition abroad

Friends of Canada, an organisation in Toronto that promotes cross-cultural achievements, recently honoured director S. V. Ramanan of Jaishree Pictures with an award for outstanding achievements, especially for his tele-film, `Yaar Andha Uravu?' which focuses on NRIs.

Padma Subrahmanyam received the award on behalf of her brother, S. V. Ramanan.
