GANDHINAGAR GOSSIP

Lessons learnt

THE GRADUATE Working with renowned directors has been a learning process for Radhika

Radhika says working in commercial and alternate films has been a learning process for her.

Radhika who has won her first State government award for her performance in Thaayi Illada Thabbali directed by Sai Prakash is also excited about her role in Janapada directed by renowned director Baragooru Ramachandrappa.

"It was a great opportunity to work with such a fantastic director who takes so much care about even small details," says Radhika who shot for the film was shot in the periphery of Shravanabelagola.

All thrilled

Vijaya Raghavendra is quite excited about his new film Rajeeva in which he plays the title role and feels that his next release Kallarali Hoovaagi will also offer something fresh to the audience.

Kallarali directed by Nagabharana is based on a story written by B. L. Venu against the backdrop of the historical days of Madakarinayaka, a chieftan of Chitradurga province.

"Hamsalekha Sir has done an extraordinary job for the musical score of the film. I was very happy to work with senior artists like Ambarish Sir and Anant Nag Sir in the film. It was a great experience wearing historical costumes and speaking in chaste Kannada," he said. The film has been shot in the Chitradurga fort and also on sets built in studios in Bangalore.

Get on the bus

Dr. Vishnuvardhan says his next film Ekadhantha is essentially Ramesh Arvind and Prema's film.

"I play the role of a bus conductor in the film. The film starts with Ramesh and Prema and ends with them. It is a fantastic film with good comedy and emotion.

Both Ramesh and Prema have acted very well in the film. All of us are very happy that we were able to work with a great talent like Sachin who wrote and directed the film" he said.

If Sirivantha brought tears to the eyes, it will be non stop laughter in Ekadhantha with Dr. Vishnu and a host of comedians leading the pack in the film.

Busy bee

Prema is quite the busy bee after marriage. Her husband, Jeevan, is very encouraging.

She has just finished working in Ekadhantha including a song sequence with actor Ramesh Arvind. Prema now plans to spend her honeymoon in Malaysia and Singapore. Prema is also working in Sunil Kumar Desai's Kshana Kshana a thriller in which she shares the screen with Audithya, Kiran Rathod and Sree Devika.
