An evening of dance

To celebrate Suvarana Karnataka, Natya STEM Dance Kampni will present a dance, theatre and multimedia feature. The event will showcase aspects of heritage, music, dance, literature, theatre, cinema, architecture, IT/BT, commerce, sports and visual arts cultures of Karnataka. Produced by The Directorate of Kannada and culture, Government of Karnataka, the dance is choreographed by Dr. Maya Rao and Madhu Nataraj.

Light design is by Sai Venkatesh and the multi media will be presented by Janardhana Raj Urs.

Music is by Shankar Shanbhogue, Amit Heri, Praveen Rao, Anoor Anatha krishna Sharma. The dancers are Madhu Nataraj, Satyanarayana Raju, Uday Shetty, Vittal Acharya, Brinda Jacob, Janradhana Raj Urs, Ramya N., Ponamma A.D., Suryanarayana Rao and Somasekhar along with a 15- member ensemble with leading dancers of Karnataka.

The event will also have guests from various fields such as theatre, literature and film. They will comprise of personalities such as Chandrashekhar Kambar, Nagabharana, C.R. Simha and Dr. Raja Ram. 'The evening will also feature some of the works by pioneers like Kuvempu, Bendre, Masti Venkatesh Iyengar, K.K. Hebbar, S.G. Vasudev and so on.

The event today at Ravindra Kalakshetra, 7 p.m.
