NISHAGANDHI: MUSICAL CONCERT on ACV, December 25, 10 a.m.
It is a bonanza for couch potatoes as television channels go all out to come up with a colourful pot potpourri of interviews, movies, music programmes and special programmes for the festival season.
Asianet
`Perumazhakalam' and `Achuvinte Amma' will be premiered on Asianet. Interviews with stars like Cheran, Madhavan, Naren, Kavya Madhavan, Revathy, Meena, Sneha and K.S. Chitra promise to be a highlight of the programmes on Asianet. Music-based programmes will usher in the festival season with carols and Christmas songs. Join the stars and cast of Christmas releases such as Blessy's `Palunku,' Shaji Kailas' `Baba Kalyani,' and Rosshan Andrew's `Notebook.' Experience the camaraderie of the stars of `Classmates' and the ties that bind Priyadarshan, Mohanlal and their friends as they get together in `Heartmates.'
Singers Sujatha and her daughter, Shwetha, Vineeth Sreenivasan and music director Alex Paul have made a musical treat for viewers. Celebrities from all walks of life - politicians, writers, actors and sportspersons - will participate in various programmes on Asianet, Asianet News and Asianet Plus.
In addition to these, regular programmes such as `Tharakodathi,' serials, and live telecast of special events promise to make Christmas a joyous occasion for viewers.
Soorya
Soorya's programmes for Christmas begins at 6.30 with Christmas carols. `Satya Nayaka' has singers K.S. Chitra, Sujatha and Unni Menon rendering Christian devotionals. At 9.00, watch Geethu Mohandas spread the Christmas cheer in an orphanage. Catch `Satya,' starring Prithviraj, Priyamani and Thilakan at 9.30. `Ente Ishtaganangal' at 12.30 features Kalabhavan's Mani's favourite numbers. A special episode featuring the stars and director of `Kanakasimhasanam,' (Jayaram, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Karthika and Rajasenan) will be telecast at 13.00., followed by the Mammootty starrer `Black' at 13.45. An interview with Meena at 16.30. will see the star in a candid mood. Mammotty, Lakshmi Sharma, and Blessy will participate in a chat featuring the stars and director of `Palunku' at 17.00. `Mayilattam,' starring Jayaram, Rambha, and Jagathy Sreekumar, will be telecast at 17.30

Asianet Plus
It's a long list of interviews with personalities on Asianet Plus on Christmas day. Join Kailash Kher (9.30 a.m.), Lohitadas (10.30 a.m.), Navya Nair (11.30), Nawab (12.30) and Jeeva (14.00) as they speak about themselves. Those who want to enjoy the best of songs released in 2006 should tune into `Songs 2006' on December 30, 10 a.m., followed by `Albums 2006' at 13.00. Bid adieu to 2006 with `DJ Party' at 23.30 and celebrate a brand new year with an interview with Geethu Mohand as at 10.30 a.m.
ACV
ACV's year-end bash is from December 22 to December 31. Christmas eve sees a Christmas Concert by Red Rain (New Zealand) and Stephen Devassy at 14.30. Cricket fans will enjoy `Talking Cricket,' an interview with J.K. Mahindra, Tinu Yohanan and Bhaskar on December 25, 9.30 a.m.
Vineeth Srinivasan, Mamta, Francko, Sabu, Devanand and Sheela Mony, among many others, come up with a superb musical programme, called `Nishagandhi: Musical concert' at 10 a.m. on December 25. The day also sees singers Unni Menon, Kalyani, Elizabeth and Wilswaraj spreading some Christmas cheer in `Sayahnnasangeetham: Musical Concert' at 16.00.
The channel's `ACV Fiesta: Dance and Music Concert Collection' on December 30 at 10 a.m. and December 31, at 22.00 has various film and television artistes participating. Join Jassi Gift, Chitra Iyer, Rimi Tomy, Vidhu Prathap, Sayonara... in `Soundaryotsav 2006-(Ramesh Narayan Musical Nite)' at 14.30, December 31. `Rewind 2006: News special' on December 31, 9 p.m. is a recap on the headlines of 2006. Herald the New Year with a fusion music concert by Antharagni, midnight, December 31.
Kairali TV
Kairali TV celebrated Christmas day with gusto with a potpourri of programmes. Jingle Bells lead by Usha Uthup is a special Christmas programme screened by Kairali TV at 14.00, December 25. Other programmes by the channels are interviews with Jayaram (8.30 a.m.), Kaviyoor Ponnamma (9.30 a.m.), Narain (17.30), Mammooty (21.30), and Padma Priya (22.00).
The Mammootty, Lal and Rajan P. Dev starrer `Thommanum Makkalum' on December 25, is for film buffs.
