Priyanka Chopra wants to move beyond her glam doll image. After Don, she is again training in martial arts for Goldie Behl's new film, Drona. The film, also starring Abhishek Bachchan as a prince, will see Priyanka in a number of action sequences. The film is to be shot in Prague. But before that, Priyanka will be seen donning the role of an actress in Nikhil Advani's Salaam-e-Ishq.

Honeymoon blues


Meghna Gulzar (remember her film Filhaal?) is working on her next directorial project. She's got a cast that comprises Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol and Perizaad Zorabian on board.

Meghna had titled her film Honeymoon but recently changed it to Just Married.

Has it got anything to do with another film called Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd being made simultaneously?

He'll bowl you ever


He'll bowl you over A few years ago, cinematographer/film-maker Rajiv Menon had planned a film based on cricket with Anil Kumble.

The film didn't materialise but the two ended up as great pals. But finally, we'll get to see the leg spinner on the big screen.

Pritish Nandy Productions has approached Kumble to act in their new film, Meerabhai Not Out, along with Mandira Bedi and others.

Making news Akshay Kumar is one actor who knows how to stay in news. He's called a prolific actor for being part of a handful of films each year. Trade pundits are watching if the Akshay- Priyadarshan combo strike gold again with Bagham Bagh. The actor had reportedly been approached to act film with Oscar-winning British actress Rachel Weisz. Akshay is said to be have been offered the film Australian Bandstand, in which he portray a rugby player.

Pritam-Remo rock


Composer Pritam is on a high. Not only has Dhoom 2 managed to consolidate its top-of-the-chart position, he's got another hit album in the form of Bhagam Bagh. The Signal track sung by Remo Fernandes is hugely popular and Pritam has asked Remo to croon for a new film, My Name is Anthony Gonsalves!
