Diamond jubilee of Telugu talkie

It is more than 75 years since the release of the first talkie in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. The Telugu film industry plans to celebrate the occasion in a grand manner. The `Telugu Salana Chitra Vajrotsavam' committee has been formed under D. Rama Naidu, producer. Several events, including the screening of old, milestone films and honouring of senior actors, have been planned. Film News Anandan will hold an exhibition of rare pictures. Anandan is busy organising the material to set up the exhibition, which will also comprise statistics and unique details. The celebration will go on for three days from January 26 to 28, 2007, at the International Convention Centre, Hyderabad.
