Memorable concert
Sri Sivaramakrishna Kshetram was packed and the crowd thoroughly enjoyed Lalita's music applauding frequently.
Lalita Madhav, one of the vocalists much in demand in music circles, bagged many awards and received accolades in almost all important Sabhas of the country. Lalita started her concert with a crisp varnam in Behag followed by Vallabha Nayakasya in Begada. Fluent manodharmam and selection of ragas enriched the effect of her singing. Her swaras in Sriranjani (Sogasuga mridanganga talamu) and the ragam, tanam, Pallavi in Bhairavi set to Khanda Triputa talam amply proved this. Her expositions of Begada and Poorvikalyani (Madhurapuri Kalyani) in reverse chapu talam (viloma chapu) a difficult one to handle stood proof of Lalita's musical ability.
Other attractive items in the concert were Pahimam Sri Rajarajeswari in Janaranjani, Vararagalaya in Chenchu Kambhoji and the thillana. B.V.Durga Bhavani and M.Lakshminarayana Raju provided excellent support on the violin and mridangam respectively.
