GOOD SHOW A dance ballet, Krishnaleela, captivated the audience's attention.
To commemorate the birth anniversary of of Subramania Bharatiyar, a cultural meet was organised by the members of the Tamil Kalai Mandram at Bharathi Mani Auditorium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday last. Music, poetry and oratory based on the poet's works, were conducted.
The function got off to a grand start with the rendition of the songs individually and in group by Priya Ramkumar, Jayanthi Pardhasaradhi, Parvathi Naganadham, Meenakshi Venkateswaran and Palani Ammal.
A dance ballet `Krishnaleela' by Srija, Gayatri, Rakshana, Lakshmisri, Sirisha and Sravya along with their gurus Ishwarya Raman and Reshma Nair with the director of the show Priya Ramkumar in the lead, captivated the audience's attention.
The piece-de-resistance of the evening was the enlightening and inspiring talk on the philosophy of life of Bharatiyar by T.A. Venkateswaran. Quoting from Bharatiyar's work,he analysed the spectrum of the poetic imagery embedded in each one of them. He highlighted its all time relevance in particular and its nature of universality in general.
