Riding the wave of the successful mega hit `Super Star,' Amrita TV has launched `Super Star Junior' for aspirants in the 10-15 age- group which is aired from Monday to Friday at 20.00.

From the 9,000 children who registered for this talent hunt, 10 contestants have been short listed to participate in the performance rounds of the show. Acclaimed music directors and singers such as Deepak Dev, George Peter, Gayatri, Manjari and Jyotsana are the judges.

Each of the 10 contestants will undergo music orientation, grooming and performance training under music director Alphonse. The contestants will be fighting for the Super Star Junior crown based on public voting through sms — with one contestant being eliminated each week. The Grand Finale will be a triangular contest, which is scheduled for mid-February 2007.
