Book release


On January 7, Ankita Pustaka will release Mogalli Ganesh's novel Kireeta at The Indian Institute of World Culture, 10.30 a.m. The book will be released by poet Dr. Chandrashekhara Kambara and chief guests on the occasion are short story writers Abdul Rasheed and Vivek Shanbhag.

This is Mogalli Ganesh's second novel, the first one being Tottilu. As the author says in his introduction, the novel is a political satire. In the process of writing the novel, Mogalli says how, though there was a tremendous temptation to make it a political novel. But he picked up only those strains that came in the natural flow of story telling. However, he says, there has been an effort to create fresh metaphors.

The book is priced at Rs. 80.
