The Sridevi Bhoodevi sametha Srinivasa Perumal temple was constructed at Kattampatti, 15 kilometres from Dharmapuri, more than two centuries ago. Now the temple is in a dilapidated condition and daily pujas are not being performed to the deity. A committee has been formed to look into the reconstruction of the temple with a garba griham, ardha mandapam and maha mandapam according to agama vidhis and also arrange for conducting the daily pujas. Devotees willing to donate for the above may send in their contributions, in the form of cash/DD drawn in favour of Kattampatti Sri Srinivasa Perumal Kovil Trust, to: c/o V. Samprokshanam
The Jeernodharana Ashtabandhana Maha Kumbabhishekam of the shrine of Soundaravalli Sametha Sri Karumanikka Perumal, Ladavaram, Arcot Taluk, Vellore District, is scheduled to take place on February 28, 10.45-11.45 a.m. Special pujas and homams start from February 26. Harikatha

Lec-dem
Samudhra has organised the second session of its music lecture demonstration series on February 10 at 6.30 p.m. at Infosys Hall, Ramakrishna Mission School premises, T.Nagar. Presented by Dr.Radha Bhaskar, the topic will be `Musical Excellence in Muthuswami Dikshitar's kritis'.
Violin competition
Tirukodicaval Srinivasa Vaidyanathan's Charitable Trust (Ph: 2234 7807) is conducting a violin competition for non-performers initiated under the name of Tirukodikaval Krishna Iyer.
The winner will receive a gold medal and a certificate.
The competition is open to boys and girls in the age group 17-30. Within a time limit of 10 minutes, the candidate should be able to perform raga alapana, kriti, niraval and kalpanaswaram of his/her choice. Inauguration
After the mangala sasanam of Venkatesa Perumal and Pattabhi Ramar at Sri Oppiliappan Pattabhisheka Ramar Temple, Ram Nagar (North) Madippakam, Srimad Andavan Sriranga Ramanuja Mahadesikan will inaugurate Sri Oppiliappan Pattabisheka Ramar Sri Pada Kainkarya Sabha, and the music festival, on February 10, 4 p.m.

Workshop
