Consecration held

NEW LOOK: The Rajagopuram after samprokshanam.

The mahasamprokshanam of the Sri Pankajavalli samedha Srinivasa Perumal temple at Papanasam in Thanjavur district took place on February 8.

The small village had a festive look for a week even as yagasala pujas began.

Thousands of devotees witnessed the consecration of the rajagopuram.

The repair and renovation work amounting to Rs. 6 lakhs were completed with donations.

Swami Omkarananda of Theni Sidbhavananda Ashram blessed the gathering.

A highlight was the discourse of Suki Sivam who spoke on the significance of consecration and exhorted the residents of the village to take care of the temple.
