After mega-soaps, ghost stories and crime thrillers, Malayalam channels have tuned into mythology to attract viewers.
The latest is `Amme Devi' on Surya TV that focusses on the famous Devi temples in Kerala such as Chottanikara, Kodungallor, Chakkulam and so on.
It has replaced the slot for `Kayamkulam Kochunni,' which will now be telecast at 22.00.
`Amme Devi' series delves into the myths and stories about the prominent temples and the deities.
Madhu, Bharat Gopi, Sreenath, Babu Namboothiri and Sukumari are some of the film stars acting in the series.
Playback singer M.G. Sreekumar has sung and acted in this series.
