Voice Snap, a Chennai based Software Company has launched a worldwide campaign to help Carnatic music enthusiasts who are in different stages of learning, evaluate their knowledge in rendering Carnatic music. At present it is limited only to vocalists but the company has plans to extend it to instruments as well.
Says Ganesh Padmanabhan (9840465375), CEO, Voice Snap: In today's fast lifestyle, distance and time seem to be blockades for youngsters who want to learn Carnatic music. In the absence of a teacher they are not sure if what they are learning using books and other forms are correct. To help them, Voice Snap has teamed up with exponents, who are not only performing artists but are also teachers who will evaluate the student's learning and knowledge.
Renderings can include sarali, janda varisai, alankaram, geetham, swarajati, varnam, kritis, javalis, raga alapana, niraval, etc.
All a student needs is a computer with an internet connection with Voice Snap's VS2 installed. Voice Snap has a free version on their website for this campaign.
