Rama Navami celebrations
Sri Ram Samaj, West Mambalam, is celebrating Sri Rama Navami on March 19, 6 p.m. at Ayodhya Aswamedha Maha Mandapam. C.R.Ravichandran, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Chennai, inaugurates the function. Justice T.N.Vallinayagam, Retd. Judge, High Court of Madras presides. C.L.Ramakrishnan, Retd. IPS officer, releases the souvenir and R. Balasubramanian receives the first copy.
Sri Ramanjaneya Trust, G.S.T.Road, Tambaram Sanatorium, is celebrating the festival from March 18-28. Eminent musicians will give concerts on all days in the evenings. Laksharchanai will be performed to the Lord on March 25 (8 a.m.-12.30 and 4-6.30 p.m.).
Karpagam Gardens Sat Sangh, Adyar, is celebrating the festival at Sri Karpaga Vinayakar Temple from March 20-April 1 with nama sankeertanams and concerts. On April 1, Sita Kalyanam will take place in accordance with the Bhagavatha Sampradaya, followed by a procession in the evening.
Sri Varasiddhi Vinayakar Sath Sangam, Besant Nagar, is celebrating the festival from March 17 to April 14. Special homams will be performed. Harikatha, religious discourses and music concerts will be organised.
