Vasantha Navaratri

As part of Vasantha Navaratri celebrations, Chennai Om Skandasramam will perform the Sri Prathiyankara Devi Moola Mantra Mahayagnam from March 19-27 at No. 1, Kambar St., Mahalakshmi Nagar, Selaiyur, Tambaram (Ph: 2229 0134/2229 3388/94446 29570).

Competition

Hamsadhwani is conducting its annual vocal competition on March 25, Sunday, from 10 a.m. at the Youth Hostel, Indira Nagar, Adyar. The categories are sub-juniors (8-12), juniors (12-17) and seniors (17-21) who have to render the kritis of Tyagaraja, Dikshitar and Papanasam Sivan, and tarangams of Narayana Tirtha. Ramjhi's Isai Mazhalai will render Pancharatna kirtanas at Karpagam Gardens Sat Sangh, Karpaga Vinayakar Temple, Adyar, on March 21, 7 p.m.

Annual day

PSN Disciples Foundation will celebrate its annual day on March 17, 6 p.m., at Raga Sudha Hall, 85/2, Luz Avenue, Mylapore. Organised as a musical evening with a `galaxy of musicians,' the foundation will also honour vidwan Chingleput Ranganathan on the occasion.
