The Srinivasa Prasad International Foundation for Performing Arts based in the United States and established by Gutti Varaprasada Rao and Dr. Parvathi Raoorganised a commemoration Premanjali in memory of their son at Kalabharathi last Saturday. It was the lyrics by Dr. Perala Balamuralikrishna that focussed on late Prasad's fascinating flair and penchant in learning Telugu, Sanskrit, Kuchipudi and classical music and in exhibiting the mastery he achieved in a short span of time with amazing felicity. The transliterated version of it into exquisite dance vocabulary by noted guru A.B. Balakondala Rao was presented enchantingly by her son Aditya and her prime disciple Amuktamalyada.
A similar version of the lyrics Visakha Vaibhavam describing the various cultural and religious traditions that metamorphosed the tiny village Visakapatnam into Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation was presented by the pupils of the Kuchipudi Kalakshetra established by Bala.
Excellent nattuvangam by Bala with scintillating support on mridangam by her son Anand, violin by A. Satya Vishal, veena by M. Satyanarayana, flute by T. Atchuta Rao and make-up by Chiranjeevi, contributed to the granduer. The auditorium witnessed a similar musical extravaganza the next evening.
It was Telugu Vaibhavam described in the same way and presented in similar technique by the pupils of Nrityakalabharathi School of B.V.K under the expert direction of its Natyacharya Avasarala Rukmajee Rao.
The programme was part of grand Ugadi Puraskar function organised by Maharshi Yeddanapudi Ayyannapantulu under the aegis of Maha Kameswari Peetham.Director of A.I.R Visakhapatnam Prayaga Vedavathi was the chief guest.
