Special programmes for the season
AMRITHAM on Asianet, Sunday
ACV plans to celebrate Vishu with a plethora of music and film-based programmes.
Their eight-day Vishu celebrations begins on April 8 with a music programme called `Swaram,' which will be telecast at 13. 45. Carnatic vocalists Sashikiran and P. Ganesh will enthral music buffs on April 8, 9 and 11 at 17.30.
Moreover P. Ganesh will play the chitraveena in a programme called `Dhwanigeetham' that will be aired on April 11, 12 and 13 at 12.30 noon.
Tune into `Kanimalar,' comprising devotionals on Lord Krishna, at 9.30 a.m. on April 14. April 15 also begins on a musical note on ACV with songs sung by youngsters like Suparana Sridhar and Shruti Anil.
Asianet has prepared a sumptuous banquet for Easter. In addition to the usual programmes, there will interviews with stars and directors.
Two films
Two movies - `Amritham' and `Chandrolsavam' - will be aired on that day. Live interactive music shows and devotionals have also been included in the programme menu.
