Hyderabad in Melbourne

Bharatanatyam exponent Rajeswari Sainath and her daughter Vyshnavi Sainath performed to an appreciative and knowledgeble audience at the FINA Festival in Melbourne, Australia. Rajeswari and Vyshnavi were the only Indian group in the line-up of programmes.

They will also be performing at the Mum Moorthigal festival on April 7 at the Kel Watson Theatre in Melbourne Australia

Film screening

The Alliance Française of Hyderabad, Hyderabad Film Club and Flying Elephants will hold a special screening of Unni-Life is all about friends at Prasad Preview theatre, Next to L.V Prasad Eye Institute, Banjara Hills, on Saturday, April 7, 6.30pm.

The film is co produced by Patou Films International, France, Maya Films India and Flying Elephant Films, UK The cast includes Sarath Kumar K, Niya Jose and Rajan Engakkad. Scriptwriter and director Murali Nair will be present and will interact with viewers.

Acting workshop

Sutradhar School of Acting, under the aegis of Sutradhar Casting Agency (p) Ltd. is organising Pratibimb 2K7 (The Reflection) a two month acting workshop for theatre, television and films from Thursday April 12. The five-day-a-week workshop requires no formal qualification except good communication skills in Hindi, English and Telugu.

Music festival

Music Lovers' Association of Hyderabad in association with Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha, Hyderabad are conducting a three-day music festival. On April 6, Sitarist G.V Sreeramulu will inaugurate the festival and recitals by S. Vinod Singh, Akula Srinivas Goud, Kamalabhai Toshniwal and others will take place on April 7 and 8.

The festival will take place at Sri Kalasubba Rao Kala Vedika and Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha, Chikadpally, Hyderabad.
