Grand final of music talent hunt show
THE PARTICIPANTS: The talent hunt will select four winners for the awards in the name of playback singer K.J. Yesudas.
The final rounds of `Gandharva Sangeetham' will be held at Vadakara Madapally Government High School on April 14 and 15. The talent hunt to select the four winners of the awards in the name of playback singer K.J. Yesudas will be telecast live on Kairali on April 14 and on WE on April 15. The selection rounds for the juniors will be held on April 14 and the seniors' finals on April 15. The show will begin at 19.00.
Gala music show
A gala music show will also be held on the occasion. Yesudas, music directors Ilayaraja and Dakshinamoorthy, playback singers Madhuri, Srinivasan, Anuradha Sriram, Kavalam Srikumar, Vijay Yesudas and Gayatri, Carnatic vocalist Sreevalson Menon and others will participate in the programme.
Dancers from Kalamandalam will add a dash of glamour and grace to the proceedings. The show will be directed by film director T.K. Rajeevkumar.
More than thousand contestants had tried their luck to participate in the talent hunt that is being held for the seventh year. The junior contestants are Anju Joseph, Sadhika, Anagha Sadan, Vignesh, Vishnu and Yadu Krishnan. Those participating in the senior category are Sonia, Divya, Bhuvana, Siddarth Shankar, Arun Kumar and Amal Antony.
One male and female participant from both the categories will be selected for the award. Prizes in cash and kind await the winners.
