PLEASING PROGRAMME Artistes rendering Rama Sankeertanas.
The monthly presentation of `Swarajhari' sabha was a pleasing singing of Rama Sankeerthanas penned by Vidushi Smt.Chevuturi Kusuma Tandavakrishna, wife of late C. Tandavakrishna, a great patron of arts. Swarajhari dedicated this programme titled Pibare Rama Rasam to the memory of late Thandavakrishna. The programme was well received by the packed crowd that gathered at Sri Sivaramakrishna Kshetram. The group led by Modumudi Sudhakar consisted of C.V.P. Sastri, Anjana Sudhakar, K. Lakshminarasamma and Sishtla Bharathi. Melodious music set by Sudhakar complemented the excellent lyrics. Some of the attractive tunes were Araginchaga Randi (ragamalika), Yogi Ranmuni (Madhyamavathi), Enduki Boodikinta, a solo rendered by Lakshminarasamma, Ramudochinadura a folk melody sung by Sudhakar and C.V.P. Sastri and Mythilapuri Veedhullo in Mand.
Well-coordinated instrumental support was provided by P. Sitharamanjaneyulu (violin), P. Indrakeeladri Sarma (flute), K. Sasidhar (veena) and K. Sai Giridhar (tabla). Enlightening commentaries by Dhulipala Ramakrishna and Smt.Kusuma Tandavakrishna preceded the group singing.
