An evening of music
YOUNG TALENT: Students of Sangeet.
The students of `Sangeet - the School of Music,' T. Nagar, treated a sizable audience at the Music Academy recently to an evening of music. In the age group 5-20, the students surprised the audience with their skill and imagination on their keyboards and guitars, on a wide range of music.
The fete was graced by music director M. Bharadwaj and Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Rai Rathore who gave away medals and certificates to the budding musicians. AVM Saravanan and Sivasailam were also present.
Vasanth Peter, the prime mover of the school, kept himself in the background. The prize-winning `Chennai Anthem' (sung by three of his students to commemorate the 350th birth anniversary of the city) was composed by the students. The school is planning to organise a summer camp from April 22 to May 22.
