New serial on Amrita TV

POSITIVE VIBES: Seema plays a Carnatic singer in `Thingalum Tharakangalum.'

Yesteryear star Seema stars in a new serial called `Thingalum Tharakangalum' on Amrita TV. The serial narrates the story of three young women from different socio-economic backgrounds. An elderly singer befriends them and helps them begin a home for senior citizens.

Eventually, the youngsters learn about the vocalist's tragic past and their hearts go out to her. Instead of falling into the category of tearjerkers that reign over prime time in many channels, `Thinkalum Tharakankulun' focusses on the positive aspects of youth and their exuberance. It shows the three women reaching out to senior citizens and lending them a helping hand. Directed by Purushottaman, who had directed serials such as `Killikkoddu,' and `Snehadooram,' the cast includes Seema, Venu Nagavally, M.G. Gopakumar, Shelly and others.

`Thingalum Tharakangalum' is telecast on weekdays at 7.30 p.m.
