Vishwamohan Bhatt is one of the many performers at the fest
The Shri Rama Kala Vedike is organising the 31st Ramachandra Yavagal Memorial Concerts and Kalashringa award ceremony on May 5 at Ravindra Kalakshetra. The programme is being held in memory of late Ramachandra Yavagal.
There are two sessions in the concert — one in morning and the other in the evening. The morning session, which commences at 9.30 a.m. begins with a Hindustani vocal concert by Sangita Katti Kulkarni followed by a rare sitar trio of Khan Brothers — Chote Rahimat Khan, Rafeeq Khan and Shefeeq Khan. The evening session commences at 6 p.m. with a talented child prodigy from U.P Yashwant Vaishnav's tabla solo followed by the Kalashringa award function. The award will be presented to Grammy award winner Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. The concluding part of the evening session will be a Mohan veena recital by Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.
Entry to the programme is by invitation only. All are welcome for the concerts at Ravindra Kalakshetra on May 4 between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Call 94480-56682.
