Smile please

Fun lines: Contest for those with a flair for comedy.

Asianet Plus has come up with a novel contest, ‘Smile Please,’ to identify good comedians and comediennes. Mimicry artistes can give this a pass as this contest requires participants to raise a laugh through their dialogues, body language or histrionic skills. Merely mimicking well known politicians and actors would not be enough.

The challenge is to get viewers to laugh through a three-minute act. The participants’ performance will be evaluated by well known comedians of the big and small screen.

So, if you have a joke to share or a flair for comedy, send in your bio-data and a photograph to: The producer, Smile Please, Asianet Studio Complex, Puliyarakonam, Thiruvananthapuram. E-mail: smileplease@asianetworld. tv. Participants can record a full-filled, one-minute conversation by dialling 1255678 (BSNL). Users of Hutch, Airtel and Idea must dial 7887 to record their fun lines.
