Competition

The Ariyakkudi-K.V.Narayanaswamy memorial Trust has organised a Carnatic music competition — vocal, violin and mridangam — on June 10. The venue is P.S.Higher Secondary School, R.K.Mutt Road, Mylapore. The contestants in the vocal category will be divided into three age groups — 5-10 (only devotional and patriotic), 11-17 (Swathi Tirunal, Trinity, Papanasam Sivan, etc.,) and 18-25 (all the composers, niraval, swaram, etc.) For violin and mridangam, the age groups are 11-17 and 18-25. Consecration
