Orissa craft bazaar

In vibrant hues: at the Orissa fare

The ongoing exhibition at Sri Sankara Hall, TTK Road, Alwarpet, organised by Pruthibi Handicrafts Co-operative Society, is on till June 11.

The craft bazaar has on display products and textiles unique to Orissa. Patachitra paintings, palm leaf illustrations, stone carvings and appliqué are some of the pieces available.

Tussar, cotton, pure silk sarees and material adorn the textile section. And for variety, you also have Kolkata terracotta, etikoppaka toys, Saharanpur gem stone ware and Rajasthani ghagra cholis, bed sheets and the like.
