Samvatsara abhishekam

Sri Bhaskaracharya Bhakta Samajam, West Mambalam, Chennai (Ph: 044-2474 0219/093810 35994) is performing special pujas in connection with the Samvatsara Abhishekam of Bhaskararaya Acharya Memorial.

Sri Gurumandala Adhishtana abhishekam and puja (at Valangaimaan) and Sri Lalitha Sahasranama Akhanda Parayanam, Sahasra Chandi Yagnam, Sri Lalitha Sahasranama homam and 108 Suvasini puja will be performed on the occasion.

The pujas will be performed at Bhaskararajapuram, Tiruvalankadu P.O., Mayiladuthurai R.M.S., near Kumbakonam, Thanjavur, from June 27-30.

Celebrations begin at Bhaskararajapuram with Go Puja on the first day at 5 a.m. followed by Ganapathi Homam. From 6 a.m. on Wednesday to 6 a.m. the next day, Sri Lalitha Sahasranama Aho-Raatra Akhanda Parayanam and Deepa Pradakshanam will be performed.

On Thursday, at Valangaimaan, Kumbakonam, Sri Divyaanandanaatha and Sri Bhuvanaanandanaatha Adhishtaana abhishekam, puja deeparadhanai and guru vandhanam will be performed at 8 a.m.

At 6 p.m. at Bhaskararajapuram, Chandi Yagna Yagasala Pravesam and puja, Kalasa Sthapanam, Durga Puja and other rituals will be performed.

The next day, Sahasra Chandi Yagnam will be performed at 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. Special pujas will be conducted at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, Navavarana puja, Srividya Homam, Lalitha Sahasranama Homam, 108 Suvasini Puja will be conducted. Anna dhanam will take place at 11.30 a.m.

Bhaskararajapuram is four kilometres from Kuttalam railway station, after Mayiladuthurai, or five kilometres from Aduthurai railway station.

By road, one can reach the place by alighting at Maharajapuram stop near Tirukodikkaval on Kumbakonam-Kadiramangalam route, two kilometres from Kadiramangalam or Tiruvalankadu stop.
