Asianet celebrates Independence Day on August 15 with a wide variety of special programmes that begin at 6.30 with ‘Swatantriya geethangal.’
The theme of ‘Suprabhatham,’ the breakfast show, on that day would be the freedom struggle and the leaders who fought to win freedom for India. Interviews with Jomol (12.00) and Meera Vasudev (17.30) will be aired on that day. A special episode on the making of the Suresh Gopi starrer ‘Black Cat’ will also be telecast.
‘Made in U.S.A.’ will be premiered on the small screen at 13.30, and ‘Vietnam Colony’ will be aired at 21.00.

Surya TV’s special programmes to celebrate Independence Day include a film, interviews with film stars and a host of special programmes. The day begins on a musical note with ‘Fusion’ at 6.30, followed by the breakfast show ‘Ponpulari’ at 7.00. ‘Naalathe Pularikal,’ a special documentary follows at 8.30.
Blockbuster ‘Chadikatha Chandu,’ starring Jayasoorya, Navya Nair, Vineeth and Bhavana, will be telecast at 9.00.
A tete-a-tete with Sridevika at 11.30 will be followed by interviews with Major Ravi at 12.00 and with Simran at 12.30.
