Heroes framed!

For all those who could not catch a glimpse of the heroes of our nation, there was an opportunity to see them ‘framed’.

Their photographs were presented in the shape of an interesting exhibition from the personal account of the Mountbattens during the historic transfer of power.

The exhibition of photographs, drawn from the book by Roli publications called ‘India Remembered’, was inaugurated by Karan Singh. Pamela Mountbatten in her book has elaborated upon her unforgettable experiences in India during her stay, her special relation with Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and Gandhiji.

The photographs, by R.L. Lekhi, capture those treasured moments of the Mountbattens’ stay in India. There were many interesting pictures on view, like the holidays of the Mountbattens, Nehruji doing yoga, the farewell of Gandhiji which witnessed a gathering of over 4000 people, etc..

The FTK Centre for Information Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia, played host to the exhibition.
