It's original!

Salman Khan-Govinda starrer Partner was recently in the news for allegedly being `inspired' by the Hollywood flick Hitch. After the uproar by Sony Pictures, Hindi film-makers seem to be wary of `inspired' works. Actorturned- director Ajay Devgan, who is working on his film U, Me Aur Hum has gone on record to clarify that his project is not similar to the Hollywood film, The Notebook. The film also stars wife Kajol, Divya Dutta, Isha Sharvani and others. While not much is known U, Me Aur Hum, we hear that Devgan is not making an action film.

Makeover for the stars

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and Dhoom has most of its stars experimenting with their looks. Yash Raj Films is taking it a step further with their new film, Tashan. Saif Ali Khan sports sideburns and a double barrel moustache . In the film, Akshay Kumar sports tattoos and a crew cut and Anil Kapoor shows off his clean-shaven chest.

You decide the title

While making Lage Raho Munna Bhai, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and team could not decide on the title and threw the field open to the public. The title was chosen after a few public surveys. Shahid Kapur has taken a cue from Chopra. For his next film co-starring Kareena Kapoor, he suggested a public poll. For the film directed by Imtiaz Ali, the team has three working titles at the moment – Punjabi Mail, Ishq via Bhatinda and Jab We Met. The team will zero in on the title that gets the highest votes.

Vidya turns glamorous

Despite having done a handful of films, Vidya Balan is best remembered and acknowledged for her role in Parineeta. Her urban characters in Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Salaam-e-Ishq and G uru did get noticed but she remained as the Parineeta girl. All that might change if the audience accepts her new, glamorous look in Heyy Babyy. The comedy flick has Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Fardeen Kh an and is directed by Sajid Khan. Vidya’s westernised look is thanks to ace designer Manish Malhotra.
