A ceremonial convocation

Devotees of Sri Mahaa Devi, the clergy of the peetham, commemorating the 74th birthday of its Peethadhipathi Pantulu, organised a grand function in Kalabharathi last Tuesday. Borra Subrahmanya Sasty of Hyderabad was honoured with Brahmasree Kalyaananda Bharathi puraskar that carries Suvarna Sreevidya Sudarsan yantra. A synodal fete has been organised once in two years since 2003. With the Dharmadhikari of Sree Sarada Petham of Chinamushidiwada, Yabaluri Lokanatha Sarma of Vijayawada in the chair, guests of honour Sadguru Sri K. Sivananda Murty and Mihira Spiritual Centre founder president M. R. L. Rao, also honoured 20 eminent persons chosen by the peetham. Speaking on the occasion, they were all praising Maharshi Patnulu for his spiritual and cultural activities on a regular basis soon after taking over the peetham in 1975.
