Brahmotsavam

Jaya TV will telecast the Brahmotsavam festival, to be held at Tirupati, from September 14 to 24. The ten-day fest will be aired at 6 a.m. For those who might miss to watch it, the programme encores the same day at 5.30 p.m.

Take your pick

Amman Try Hit Mela Hit, a new countdown show, will be aired on Vijay TV, from September 16, Sundays, 9 a.m. Hosted by Mithuna, the show will feature the top five hit songs from Kollywood film.

The highlight of the show is that the viewers can decide on the songs to be included in the top five listings for the week. All they need to do is to choose their favourite song and SMS to 57827.

The song that receives the maximum votes that particular week will be rated No.1 in the listings. Viewers can also log on to www.startv.in for voting.

Besides voting also get to know some interesting facts about the song, the playback singers, choreography and some inside news on the making of the song. The countdown show also has a special segment in which a celebrity visits the show and shares a social message with the viewers.

Jodi No.1

(Viay TV, Friday & Saturday, 20.00)

The second season of Garnier Fructis Jodi No.1 gets more exciting with couples getting eliminated each week. Among the participants, three pairs, Dev/Aishwarya, Arvind/Lakshmi and Sri/Krithika, were on the elimination list, but they were given another chance to prove themselves.

In this week’s new addition, Property round, the contestants will make use of objects like guitar, chair, sword, walking stick, handkerchief and hat in their dance. Their performances will be judged based on their presentation skill, originality and how well they use the property they have chosen, etc.

This week’s show gets more special with Ramya Krishnan joining them as the special judge.
