Legend remembered
The 88th birth anniversary of Harikatha Legend T.S.Balakrishna Sastrigal was celebrated by his family and followers on September 9 at Rani Seethai Hall.
The agenda included a lively lecture of Srivatsa. S. Jayarama Sarma on Sri Krishna Vaibhavam. With his impeccable narration interspersed with Periyazhvar’s pasurams, Srimad Bhagavatham and Narayaneeya slokas and above all interesting anecdotes, Sarma offered the packed audience a treat.
Srivatsa Sharma recalled his formative years under Sastrigal. Swathi Soft Solutions came out with an MP3 audio pack containing an exceptional collection of the legend’s week long discourse on ‘Srimad Bhagavatha Sapthaagam’ – unedited.
