Super Dancer Junior: Amrita, weekdays, 19.00
Amrita TV was the first to discover the magic of reality shows in Kerala. The channel’s ‘Superstar singer’ created a trend that saw all the other channels follow suit with reality shows of various kinds.
After a rendezvous with some fresh musical talent, the channel followed it up with ‘Super dancer.’ With dancing queen Kala master as the chief jury, the show was a success right from the first episode. Jaws dropped as youngsters from all over Kerala, metros and moffusil towns alike, set the dance floor on fire. Cashing in on the success of the dance contest for seniors, the channel has come up with ‘Super Dancer Junior.’
Talent hunt
The talent hunt is for participants between the ages of 10 and 15. Auditions in Thiruvananthapuram and Bangalore zeroed in on the contestants who will now move centrestage to battle for the top place.
The contestants will have to prove their skills in different segments such as folk dance, semi-classical, fusion and cinematic dances. Kala Master and film actor Aravind will judge the performance of the competitors.
Stars from South India will add the glamour quotient by appearing as the third judge. The set for the programme has been designed by Sabu Sivan. The show will be telecast on weekdays at 19.00 and on weekends at 18.30.
