Sunday concert

Sapthak is organising a music programme this Sunday featuring Ankush N. Nayak in a sitar recital and Dhananjay Hegde in a Hindustani vocal concert.

Shananjay Hegde, a child prodigy from Gunavante in Karnataka, has been a disciple of Pandit Vinayak Torvi and has been studying with him in the gurukul system of education since 1989. Ankush Nayak from Mangalore is a disciple of Ustad Rafique Khan. They will be accompanied on the tabla by Gurumurthy Vaidya and on the harmonium by Vyasamurthy Katti.

The concert will be held on Sunday October 14 at 5.30 p.m. at the Havyaka Sabha Bhavan, 11th cross, 8th main, (near railway station), Malleswaram. Convenor G.S. Hegde can be contacted on 94480-67829.
