100 day celebration of Idea Star Singer: Asianet, Sunday, 10.30.

The dance talent hunt on Asianet Plus is moving into the final rounds of the show. Of the 40 dancers who participated in the category for seniors, 10 have been chosen for the final stage. Similarly, five contestants in the junior category were chosen from 20 participants. The selection rounds tested the skills of the dancers in choreography, performance, expressions and stage presence. Thirty contestants have already won a place in Lal Jose’s latest film, ‘Mulla,’ which has Dileep in the lead. Actors Jayasurya, Vineeth, Radhika, Remya Nambishan and Shalu Menon are some of the celebrities who have appeared as judges on the show.

It is movie time on the channel. If you have missed watching these films, here is an opportunity to catch up with these hits of Malayalam cinema. Three movies will be screened on Saturday – ‘Yodha’ (09.00), ‘Yathrakarude Shraddakku’ (12.00) and ‘Ben Johnson’ (16.30). The Dilip starrer ‘Vettam’ will be telecast at 15.30 on Sunday.
Special programmes in connection with Navaratri will be telecast on Saturday and Sunday. ‘Adhyaaksharam’ at 7.00 on Saturday will be followed by a music programme called ‘Bhadradeepam’ at 7.35. A documentary called ‘Souparnikavritham’ at 8.00 will also be telecast on the occasion of Mahanavami.
‘Vidhyarambham,’ songs dedicated to the Navaratri festival, will be aired at 8.00 on Sunday. The mega stage show that was organised to celebrate 100 days of Idea Star Singer will be telecast again at 10.30.
