Vinod on TV

The small screen is set to get much bigger! Bollywood star Vinod Khanna is poised to make his television debut soon – on a mega show on the brand new Hindi general entertainment channel, 9X. He plays the lead in TV star-turned-producer Smriti Irani’s show for 9X, “Mere Apne”.

Khanna, who has been a heartthrob of Bollywood lovers for his scintillating performances in films like “Parvarish”, “Muqaddar Ka Sikandar”, “Hera Pheri”, “Amar Akbar Antony”, “Khoon Pasina” and “Qurbani”, among others, says of his television debut: “It is really exciting to be part of a popular medium. Today, television stars have become iconic — just like their counterparts in Bollywood. I am thrilled about my character in “Mere Apne”. It is one of the most intense and challenging roles of my acting career.”
