Sri Matha Samarpanam (Temple of Music, Art & Culture), an institution started in 1998, with the blessings of Sadguru Santhananda Swamigal of Salem Skandasramam, celebrates its annual day on November 17 at Srinivasa Sastri Hall, Luz, Mylapore.
L.Krishnan (music composer) and S.P.Ramh (musician) will distribute the certificates to the students of this institution.
Nalini Ramprasad, trained many in group singing, devotional songs and bhajans. This group, largely consisting of women, has been giving devotional programmes at various temples, satsanghs and music festivals.
In 2003-04, this group got the Best devotional music group Award from The Indian Fine Arts Society.
Later Nalini started giving lessons in sloka recitation, the Gita chanting and Namavalis to young children and adults.
The children, are also taught various crafts, and drawing, besides inculcating in them good and high cultural values through spiritual stories and traditions.
